We have discovered that when you teach a child . . .
•they can be in control of and responsible for an 1100-lb animal
•riding is a team sport and they and the horse make up that team
•an 1100-lb animal will trust them and look to them as the leader
Why?
While they are learning, they develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Children from all walks of life, from all over the First Coast area, working, learning, and playing together on a level playing field. They spend time being kids, all the while experiencing some of life's most important lessons.
There are three different formats in both 3 and 5 day sessions from which to choose:
•General Camp - Anyone and everyone will enjoy these sessions.
•Bible Camp - Similar to General Camp but include Life's Lessons in the afternoon.
•Advanced Camp - For accomplished riders who want to hone their skills
What?
Our camp programs are designed to safely have fun with horses and instill the value of lasting relationships, team
work and individual
character. Campers
learn about horses,
horse back riding,
tack and general horse care. Through horses and equine activities, our campers learn to improve not only their knowledge about horses, but they gain a level of self-esteem, self-respect, and self-discipline.
Campers spend the morning with the horses, learning general care, tacking and riding. Day Campers can bring their own sack lunch or purchase drinks and lunch on site. Residential campers enjoy all meals. Lunch is usually followed by a shade-tree class. The remainder of the afternoon is spent enjoying a mix of crafts, games and assorted activities.
Most Importantly . . . they safely have fun!!!!
